Jen Schuller

Founder/Trustee

Amiruth Sridharan

Chair of Trustees

Jen is the founder and a trustee of Manchester Christmas Relief and has led a Christmas appeal for six years, supporting families across Manchester with essential festive food and gifts.

A passionate community advocate, Jen has founded two charities and has dedicated much of her life to helping others. Alongside her trustee role, Jen runs her own cake-making business and continues to volunteer her time to support community causes.

Her commitment to charity and community work began young, at 18 she received two awards, including a Pride of Manchester Award, for co-organising the 2011 Manchester Riot clean-up. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she established a local support network to help vulnerable residents with essential needs, and in 2022 she volunteered in Ukraine, providing humanitarian support across the country. Although running a business keeps her busy, Jen treasures time spent with her family and cats, and loves travelling to experience new cultures, languages, and cuisines.

Having experienced poverty growing up, her unwavering belief in community, compassion, and dignity for all continues to drive her work and the mission of Manchester Christmas Relief.

With more than 20 years of Marketing, PR and Communications experience, Jenny has successfully crafted engaging consumer communications for specialist retailers and reputable brands including Tefal cookware, Krups, Rowenta and B&Q.

For the past 17 years, Jenny has worked at the Support Office for Wilmslow-based, FTSE 250 business Pets at Home plc. Jenny leads the Consumer Public Relations and Media team and one of the key focuses involves managing the communication strategy and execution for the Pets Foundation - the charity established by Pets at Home in 2006 and has raised more than £50million to date and is the number one financial supporter of pet rescues in the UK.

Jenny has a lifelong passion and dedication to animal welfare, and rescued two cats through the RSPCA. She thoroughly enjoys volunteering for charities across the Greater Manchester area including Lifeshare and Manchester Christmas relief which led her to join the board of trustees in February 2025.

Rob has had a 36 year (and still counting!) career in the insurance industry, initially working for large insurance companies and then for the last 20 years as a Director at an independently owned brokers.

His role involves building trusted relationships with business owners, advising them on the right insurance cover to protect their business and negotiating with insurers to get the best price.

On becoming one of our trustees Rob said:- “I wanted to use the varied skills I’ve learned in my career and the connections I’ve developed with many local businesses to help a charitable organisation. I particularly wanted to work with a smaller, locally based charity where you can really contribute and see the results of your work first hand.

In November 2024 I came across Jen’s call for volunteers on Facebook and decided to get involved with Manchester Christmas Relief. Having really enjoyed the volunteering experience and being part of a team of like minded people I wanted to get more involved so became a trustee this year. It’s been great to work with my fellow trustees, learn some new skills and help achieve our goal of delivering practical support and compassion to even more people in Manchester this Christmas.”

Emma is a chartered accountant and financial crime specialist.

Emma is passionate about social mobility, also volunteering with One Million Mentors as a community mentor.

Similar to Rob, Emma heard about Manchester Christmas Relief via a friend last year and volunteered in the scout hut with her children.

They all loved the volunteering experience, seeing first hand the impact Jen had created and met some great people on the day.

As a trustee and treasurer, Emma supports the background operations of the charity.
